Object Description
Black and white photograph of a formal sitting of a man dressed in a formal suit with a shepherd's cane. The man is wearing a rectangular hat and has a mustache. The cane is white. The man is wearing a striped shirt and a black suit. On a pillar next to him, there are flowers. The man is sitting down for the portrait. The photograph is concave due to its frame and is printed on a substance thicker than paper.
Origin
This belonged to the donor's mother, Koula Counelis who came to America to marry the donor's father, Antonio Counelis (Tony) in Chicago Heights, IL. Her maiden name was Lazou and she was born in Karistos, Eubea, Greece. She spent her early married life in Chicago Heights and then moved to Berwyn, IL, where she lived for 44 years and died at the age of 96.
