Object Description
Off-white crochet with a star center. The edge of the doily is scalloped and wrapped in thread, with a small point at the end of each convexity. The doily consists of threads attached to form bent squares.
Origin
Koula Lazou was the donor's mother. She came to America to marry the donor's father, Antonio Counelis (Tony) in Chicago Heights, IL. She was born in Karistos, Eubea, Greece. She spent her early married life in Chicago Heights, IL then moved to Berwyn, IL, and spent 44 years there and died at age 96.
