Object Description
This choir robe is made of a light gold silk. The thread used for the stitches are a darker gold. At the collar, there is a thick gold trim. There is a metal clasp on the back of the collar and the back is completely open. At the top of the breast there is a gold band of ruching.
Origin
The first choir robe was worn by the choir of St. Demetrios Church at 617 State St, Hammon, Indiana.
Peggy Koutas made these robes for the whole choir in 1939.
