Oblong rectangular linen doily with multicolored cross-stitch design. The bottom edge is scalloped. There is a pink rose design in the middle surrounded by green leaves and on a brown stand. There is also pink at the bottom, and green between the bottom brown swirls. There is a blue line around the flowers that meets at the top with a pink and green design. The top corners have an orange, blue, and green design. The edge of the fabric has blue stitches.
Origin
Doilies can be used to protect furniture or as decoration. Cross stitch is a form of counted thread embroidery, in which the threads in the base cloth must be counted to ensure even stitches. The back of the doily is very neat and composed of vertical lines.
