Object Description
Table runners and matching doilies. The table runner looks like a rectangle with rounded corners and a semicircle at each end. In the semicircle, there is a pink and a red flower surrounded by stems and leaves. On each side of these flowers, there is a yellow flower whose stem leads to a bigger purple or blue flower. The thicker stems of the bigger flower lead to a small green stem with leaves, which in turn leads to two purple, blue, or pink flowers, which leads to a small green stem with three branches and leaves in the middle of the runner.
Origin
Embroidery was originally used to reinforce seams, then it turned into a decorative art. It often marks a girl's transition into womanhood.
