Object Description
Decal with tan background. Decal is placed on an off-white paper backing. This is a fairly large decal. At the very top is a large gold, black and white eagle with a gold and red crown placed slightly above its head. Directly below the eagle is a blue and gold cross, with two blue swords crossed behind it. Behind the cross and swords is a sunburst. The sunburst is colored gold and red. The sun is mainly colored red. To the left of the red sun is a gold and blue olive branch. Below the olive branch is a gold, off-white and blue banner that reads, in blue and red text - "Order of AHEPA". Under that banner is some sort of gold oval, with an empty center... possible to write things in(?). This decal represents the emblem of AHEPA.

On the back of the decal is a blue stamp with the maker's/production information. It reads that it was made by Prentice Products Company.
Origin
More than 70 years of entrepreneurial spirit has taken Prentice Products from a small business to a sizeable company offering products on a global basis. Their roots date back to 1938, when a man named Sol Prentice invested in a screen-printing business. He started the company in a garage and was soon successful enough to move the business to its current location at 4236 West Ferguson Road in Fort Wayne, Indiana (located across from Fort Wayne International Airport). Over the years, the ownership has changed hands a few times. In early 2001, the company was purchased by Jeff Jump, allowing Prentice Products to enter a new era of success.

For more than six decades, Prentice Products has been providing custom screen printed graphics to the business community throughout the United States and around the world.

The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) is the largest and oldest American-based, Greek heritage grassroots membership organization. Its scope is international with chapters in the United States, Canada, Greece, and Cyprus, and "sister" chapters in Australia and New Zealand under the auspices of AHEPA Australasia.

AHEPA was founded on July 26, 1922 in response to the evils of bigotry and racism that emerged in early 20th century American society. It also helped Greek immigrants assimilate into society.

Today, AHEPA brings the ideals of ancient Greece, which includes philanthropy, education, civic responsibility, and family and individual excellence to the community.

Although a majority of the membership is composed of Americans of Greek descent, application for membership is open to anyone who believes in the mission of the organization.
