WOVEN PILLOW CASE WHICH FEATURES A BIRD AT THE CENTER. THE GEOMETRIC PATTERN IS TYPICAL OF TRADITIONAL WOVEN DESIGNS FROM NORTH CENTRAL GREECE. THE COLORS RED & BLACK ARE ALSO TRADITIONAL TO THE REGION.
Origin
"They used a lot of red in the northern part of Greece" The bird was an important and widespread traditional element in weaving, embroidery, woodcarving and other aspectes of household decor in the north of Greece.
