Object Description
Red wool fez with a fold around the bottom of the fez. Attached to the top of the fez is a strand of braided gold thread. At the end of the gold thread there are blue tassels. The hat part of the fez seems to be hand made.
Origin
Donated by Constance Bacil. The fez was most likely part of a Evzone costume. The fez that was worn with costumes and it was common to have a long thread and tassel. The costume was worn as a military uniform but now it is worn as a folk costume.
