Object Description
Tatting. There are 40 1&1/2" circles. Rectangular. The doily is white colored. There is a small hole in the middle of each circle, which is surrounded by triangles, and then another circle. The circles are in five rows and eight columns.
Origin
The doilies were handmade by relatives of the donor who lived on the island of Kos, Greece. Doilies are used for decoration or to protect furniture. They are characterized by their openwork, which allows the surface below them to show through.
