Object Description
This is  a 15 inch steel butcher knife with a light-colored wooden handle.

The wooden handle is light in color and secures the tang of the blade with what looks like five small metal rivets or antique nails and a metal strap where the blade comes out.  The shape of the handle is simple and almost completely straight with only a slight curve at the bottom hinting at the shape of the hand that would hold it.

As the blade begins, the blade cheek starts out about two inches wide and then widens to about three inches as it gets closer to the tip.   About  two inches from the tip, the spine of the knife curves up as the blade comes to a point at the end.

This butcher knife displays the expected rough and worn patina of an aged and frequently used kitchen utensil; showing slight discoloration and touches of rust.
