Object Description
Large carving knife with a thick dark wood handle and long slender blade.  The handle is simple and straight.  Three silver colored metal rivets hold the tang in place.  One one side, a series of numbers and "DEXTER" are carved in dark capital letters.

The blade is slender and has a gentle curve all the way through, becoming more narrow and then returning to a wider (but still slender) width as it gets closer to the tip.  Although some tarnishing can be seen on blade, it is still very sharp.
