Object Description
White linen napkin. There is a design embroidered in white on one of the corners. It looks like a diamond split in half with curls on either side of the split and a circle on top of the diamond. Along the edge, there are small areas cut out to give the napkin a dashed border.
Origin
Napkins were often used as a part of a dowry or when serving tea. Napkins were used in ancient Roman times.
