Below the yellow flowers, there is a rectangle of lattice-like design in a tan color. Between the yellow flowers on the side, there is an alternating pettern of five petaled blue flowers and tulip shaped pink and red flowers connected by a vine, until it reaches the other end. Outside of this flower border, there is a border of a scroll sewign in brown.
Cross stitch is a type of counted stitch embroidery. It is the oldest form of embroidery. The cross stitch is usually called a sampler, because it was usually made by young girls learning how to sew.
