Object Description
Pink Crocheted Doily, Octagon Shape, 2 1/2 sections use darker and stiffer pink threads in contrast to majority of threads, center design with radiating patterns, much like a flower with eight petals.
Origin
Doilies were used to protect furniture or as decoration. Crocheting is a way of creating design out of thread using a crochet needle (which has a small hook on the end). As opposed to knitting, crocheting involved having only one loop of cloth open at a time.
