Object Description
Photograph of a parade float going by, as crowds of people watch in the background, standing in front of buildings. The parade float's base is white with thin blue lines are the horizontal edges and white streamers facing below. Along the side of the float, there is a sign that reads "Cretan Fraternity of Chicago". The letters are all blue, except for the first letters of "Cretan", "Fraternity", and "Chicago". Above this base is a dark stand with white pendants coverings parts, creating a pattern of black triangles alternated by white triangles with blue borders. On top of this stand is a large Greek flag made using the same material as the rest of the parade float's exterior. Sitting around the flag, on top of the base, are several people wearing traditional Greek costumes.
Origin
Photograph owned by the Franzese family. Connected to other photographs from the same Greek parade in Chicago.
