Object Description
An interior photograph of the Old North Church. The building appears to be a two-story white-washed structure with a high vaulted ceiling, columns, windows, and hanging chandlers. The ground floor is composed of white cubicles, a doorway with a dark wood door and a clock placed above the balcony, and stairs that lead to the second floor. On the second floor are white pews located to the right. To the left is a covered, ornament pipe organ, with statutes of angles holding horns flanking the instrument. The angels are standing upon small columns placed on the balcony's railing, and the organ is coved in a red cloth.
Origin
The interior view of the Old North Church located in located at 193 Salem St. Boston Massachusetts. The church was established in 1723 as the Christ Church. Photograph owned by the Franzese family and connected to other pictures from the same New England 1959 collection.
