Object Description
Newspaper from The Eagle (αετός in Greek) with the title, An All-Greek Talent for and All-Greek Benefit on the first page. The first page also contains two pictures with the one in the middle containing Truman's First Lady, Athanase G. Politis, the Ambassador of Greece, Greek Pianist Gina Bachauer, President Truman, and Dimitri Mitropoulos, a Greek-born Conductor of the New York Philarmonic Orchestra. The bottoms picture contains an image of the Greek Embassy Secretary Dimitri S. Georgantopoulos and two usherettes. The second and third page contain small pictures and short articles throughout, as well as a political cartoon. The fourth page has short articles in both English and Greek. There is a crossword puzzle in the upper left-hand corner and a small outline of Greece in the top left-hand corner.
