Object Description
A black and white photograph of three men shaking hands. They are all dressed in business suits and nice ties. The photograph is from the torso up. The man on the right is wearing glasses and has a political sticker on his lapel.  The man on the left is wearing a light colored suit and dark patterned tie.  The man in the center is African American.  He is wearing a pinstriped suit, white shirt and dark tie.  There's what appears to be an autograph directly above his head.

Former Cook County Judge Samuel C. Maragos was an attorney who specialized in municipal law, wills, tax, commercial and trust law, Mr. Maragos practiced with his son, Dean, at Maragos & Maragos.As a state representative and state senator from South Chicago from 1968 to 1980,he helped pass the no-fault insurance law, the law against panic-peddling and bills related to the Illinois Port Authority, which he served on as vice chairman. He voted for open housing and the Equal Rights Amendment. Mr. Maragos served several terms as an appointed Cook County judge in the early 1990s.

Cecil A. Partee was an Illinois legislator. He was the first African American to serve both as President of the Illinois State Senate and Cook County's State Attorney. He was also Chicago Treasurer for three terms
