Object Description
Chris N. Christopher standing in front of sign that reads "Kakogawa (and additional information in Japanese characters: the sign says Kakogawa at the top in hiragana (phonetic) and kanji (chinese characters), then the two arrows point to different places: to the left "Hauden" and to the right, "Tsuchiyama" (Mount Tsuchi) The center characters are illegible). As a civilian Chris Christopher served as a United Nations Civil Service Officer. He was instrumental in the complilation of the International Map of the World and the Standardization of Geographical Names.
Till his death he served as teh Chief of the Cartography Section of the United Nations in NYC.
