Object Description
A metal candy mold. The mold is made up of two halves, each of which is a mold of half a turkey. The two halves are held together by metal clips. The mold is designed so that there is an opening at the bottom where melted chocolate can be poured in.
Origin
This mold was used for making candy. Liquid, probably chocolate, was poured in through the bottom and then allowed to set, making a candy turkey. The clips were then removed and the halves separated so that candy could be taken out of the mold.

The Jaburg Brothers were established in 1885. They often instructed readers of the National Baker to "get to know their Jaborg Salesman in their territory, in order to get accurate information on what their baking equipment needs were.

Hugo Jaburg and John Jaburg, German brothers both moved to New York through various job positions they held. Hugo, who decided to sell butter on his own account after working for a butter selling company, found immediate success, and wished to partner with his brother, John, a then salesman for Austin, Nichols & Co. to form their own larger company. And so they finally partnered together to form the name of the Jaburg Brothers in 1885. John Jaburg passed away in 1918, and his son Henry K. Jaburg helped Hugo deal with his brother's passing, and helped the company continue in its journey.
