Object Description
Heart-shaped metal candy mold marked "To my Valentine." The words are framed by a couple of stylized, curling decorations that fill part of the mold's face. The mold is fashioned so that the words would be indented upon the chocolate's face. The mold itself is divided into two squares with an identical heart in each. The hearts fill the mold so that the tip just touches the bottom while the top lobes of the heart fills the top corners. The rectangular mold has a lip that extends all around the outside, past the heart mold so that the pieces can stand evenly to allow the chocolate to take and even shape. The top lip has been stamped with "Germany 128" however these words have been seriously worn down.
Origin
The accession file doesn't give the name of the bakery from which this mold comes or even the donor's name. It is marked as having been made in Germany but there is no makers mark.
