Object Description
Women's clothing item, a shawl in the shape of a large kerchief. Item is pale yellow linen and is embroidered in the body and along the edges with branch and leaf pattern decorations. The branches in the body are small and spaced out evenly from one another, while the branches embroidered along the edges are long and create a border. The embroidery uses many different thread colors, including purple, mauve, mint green, yellow, mustard, pale bronze, and red. The edges are finished and have hanging embroidered decoration on the trim. There two string ties to tie along the neck, so the scarf can hang over the shoulders and back.
