Object Description
Beige satin - embroidered and painted. Woman in boat with oar in water (painted). Sunset with palm trees and flowers. The picture is framed in orange thread, with red, purple, yellow and blue flowers at the bottom. There is also a pink flower on the righthand side. On the left side of the painting, there are embroidered palm trees. The lady is standing on the boat wearing a long purple skirt and yellow blouse, with flowers in the front of the boat. From the front, there protrudes a flag that reads "Happiness always" in Greek.
Origin
Wall hangings were often more popular than physical paintings because of how easy they were to transport.
