Object Description
Black and white photograph of a funeral. There is an open casket propped on two chairs in the middle. On the left side, there is a religious figure wearing a black hat with crosses down the front of his robe. Behind the casket, there are people sitting. Some of the women are wearing black headscarves. An open door can be seen to the right of the photograph. The majority of the people are looking at the casket. The photo is mounted on a black board, which has damaged corners. There is writing on the back in Greek, as well as a Greek stamp.
Origin
This is a photograph of Trepsihori Dasaky, the wife of Costas Dasaky, age 57. She was a resident of Gargaliani Messinias. She had several children with Costas. John Dasaky (the donor's father) was not her son. His mother died shortly after he was born.
