Object Description
This is a black and white photo of the St. George Greek School in Chicago. The original photo was taken on July 3, 1927. Father Golemos was the principal at the time, and Mrs. Velason was a teacher. The photo consists of a large group of children.  The most of the boys are wearing suits, there is one boy front and center sitting on the ground with his legs crossed wearing a fustanella.  The girls are wearing dresses, most of whom are wearing white. In the middle, behind the row of kids who are sitting on the ground and in front of the kids who are standing, there are four adults sitting in chairs; two ladies and two men. The men are wearing suits with ties while the ladies are wearing dresses or skirts. On the left side of the photograph, in the back row, there is a boy holding an American flag. On the right side, in the back row, another boy holds a Greek flag.
