This black and white photograph was taken in Constantine Pergantis' confectionery store located at Chicago Avenue and Western Avenue in Chicago, Illinois in 1945. Constantine is standing behind the counter and his son Theodore is seated on the left side of the shop. Many Greek American immigrants founded confectioneries and restaurants in Chicago, creating an economic base for their communities.
