White ceramic tea cup with gold painted rim and patterns around it of alternating teal and white triangles with gold, green and reddish accents on them. The bottom of the cup itself has a circle of black at it's base. There is another gold band at the bottom of the design. The inside of the cup is white, but yellowed with age and has many brownish-green stains around it. The shape of the stains seem to correspond with the general shape of the design on the outside of the cup. The handle is pointed outward towards the top and has green and gold designs on the outside. The bottom of the cup says that it was handmade by Kutahia in Athens.
Kutahia is a small merchant in Athens that makes statues and pottery which reflect the tradition of Ancient Greece. Although their products are handmade, they are reproductions.
