Pink hand-knitted baby hat. The yarn used has white strands in it as well. The hat has a pom pom on each drawstring, which goes through the back of the hat. The drawstrings were made of yarn knitted into a strand. The front edge of the hat is scalloped and all of the edges have been doubled over. The sides of the hat have holes in a gridlike pattern and were made with purl stitches facing outward. The middle of the hat was made with knitted stitches outward, and there were holes down the middle. On each side, there is a cable of stitches that sticks up and winds around, creating a design. There is a matching outfit that goes with the hat (2005.5.10).

Jacket (2005.5.10.2)

Pink crocheted baby jacket with puff balls and buttons on the front. The puff balls are on strings that tie in a bow in the front. The buttons of the jacket are yellow. The edges of the sleeves of the jacket are slightly scalloped. This is a part of a corresponding outfit (2005.5.10).

Dress (2005.5.10.3)

Pink hand-knitted baby gown with button and white ribbon belt. The gown has purl stitches at the top, with a crochet band in the middle and knitted stitches below the ribbon belt. There are three silver-colored buttons located at the back of the dress. The bottom hem of the dress is folded outward to show the purl stitching. The ribbon belt is tied in a bow in the front and weaves through the crochet part of the dress. This is a part of a corresponding outfit (2005.5.10).

Bootee (2005.5.10.4.A)

One of two pink hand-knit baby booties with puff balls on the laces. The pink yarn has a white thread going through it. The top of the bootee is slightly scalloped. The bootee has a piece of yarn the same color as the rest weaving in and out of knitted columns in the bootee to form a lace. The yarn is tied in a bow in the front. This is a part of a corresponding outfit (2005.5.10).

Cape (2005.5.12)

White hand knit baby cape with hood. There is a white pom pom hanging off of the hood, as well as on the ties that ties the cape in the front. The design on the cape is upward facing half circles that connect at their corners, and leave holes where they don't connect. The edge of the cape is cream colored, and it has a design of repeated peaks, except on the hood. The hood of the cape has more of a diamond design, with blank areas betweeen the diamonds.

Jacket (2005.5.23.2)

Light blue hand crochete baby jacket. Full length sleeves, the right wider than the left. The neck line is in a squared U-shape but also uneven. The opening of the jacket is off centered and both top corners of the opening has a string tie.

Bootee (2005.5.23.b)

Light blue crochete baby bootie with a single puff ball on the toe.

Coveralls (2005.5.24)

Green and cream childrens overalls. The each leg is a different color, the left being a light green and the right in cream, but both sides do have about an inch of forest green color on the very edge of the leg. The cream coloring on the right leg does not come up all the way like the green on the left, but stops about an inch before the waist; the inchbefore the waist is the light green color. The waist band is in the forest green color like the edge of the pant legs. The chest piece is knitted with an eight pointed star with each point alternating colors of light to forest green. The piece has a cream backgroung and a forest green boarder. The back and side of the chest is plain and in the light green color. The straps are in the forest green and have a silver button with a family crest image (not an specific family).

Cap (2005.5.25.1)

Knitted baby cap with alternating white, blue and pink coloring. The chin of the cap is knitted in a curved pattern with a single string piece coming off of it for the tie.

Jacket (2005.5.25.2)

Knitted baby jacket, with alternating colors of blue, pink and white. The neck line in a rounded triangular shape; much more narrow at the beginning of the neck hole then at the chest. There are six buttons in the center of the jacket, in rows of twos. To the right of the buttons, the fold of the jacket is edged in a curved pattern. All other edges of the coat are straight.

Hat (2005.5.27.1)

Mint green crochete baby bonnet. No particular patter or design. Around the face, about two inches from the top, is a fold in the fabric and at the base of the fold it is re folded facing outward. There is a sting tie starting at this outward facing fold. The sting goes around the entire width of the bonnet.

Jacket (2005.5.27.2)

Mint green crochete baby jacket. Full sleeve length; left arm slighty longer than the right. The neckline is in a square like U-shape, but a bit uneven. Four buttons on the front, clear in color. No design or noteworthy pattern.

Bootee (2005.5.29.2.B)

Knitted cream baby bootie with pink coloring on the toe, slightly faded. There is also a stitched pink flower withe green steam on the top of the foot. There is a small sting at the ankle, which would be tied into a bow. The ankle of the boot cames about an inch and a half above the tie and finishes in a curved edging.
