The icon is slightly smaller than the plaque allowing the rich red color to be visible round all 4 sides creating a "framed" appearance. An older man with a full white beard and and dark gray eyebrows, St. Nektarios, is featured front and center of the icon. He is standing upright, holding a bishop's staff in his left hand while his right hand is raised in a gesture of blessing. He is dressed in brightly colored liturgical garments worn by Greek Orthodox Bishops. He is wearing a red and gold brocade bulbous crown, called a miter. His vestments are mostly gold and white brocade with touches of dark red and teal. The background is gold with a frosted brown/red floor. In the back on the left, there is a short square table covered by a white, floor-length tablecloth trimmed in gold and red brocade. To the right, there is a panel of dark red drapery which is pulled back as if to open the space behind him. In the top left corner of the icon, Ayios Nektarios is written in Greek in black letters. Faintly in the bottom right corner there is some Greek writing.

Framed print with beautiful vibrant colors depicting a battle between the Greeks and the Bulgarians. It is a vivid battle scene with both sides fighting each other and dead men on the ground on each side. In the middle of the picture there is a Bulgarian being bayonetted by a Greek solider. On the lower portion of the picture there are several explosions being depicted with men falling and trying to protect themselves. Each side in the battle is carrying their country's flag. There are what appear to be mountains or hills in the top corners on each side. In the top left corner the there is a Greek flag flying on the top of the hill and the Greeks are firing cannons at the field bellow and at the Bulgarians on the opposing hill. The hill in the top right corner has the Bulgarians holding up their guns above their heads. In the top center of the picture there seems to be a mountain with a river or some other type of body of water running past it. The body of water opens into the main part of the picture and both sides seem to be fighting in the water. This might represent the Bulgarians desire for a seaport which drove them to the Aegean through Greece. It appears that the Bulgarians are depicted as retreating from the battle while the Greek army is still pursuing them. The colors are very vibrant. There are many shades of blues, greens, and reds throughout the picture. The sky is a brighter blue while the blue of the water is more subdued and mixed with white. The Bulgarians are in green uniforms with gold and red embelishments. The Greeks are in brown uniforms with gold and red embelishments and they are also wearing fezes. There are bright reds, oranges, and yellows where explosions occur. The horses in the picture are generally white, brown, and gray. On the top of the print there is a white box with red Greek writing. The writing says, " 'Illuminated'/'Brightest' page of the Greek artillery written at the 1494 meters altitude of Stromnitses during the 26th through 28th of June 1913, which tool the Bulgarian flag uner our brave Stamatiou." At the bottom at title is provided in Greek which says "The Battle of Stromnitses". Under the title it says in Greek, "The surprise of humanity as judged as important as the crossing of the Alps by Hannibal and Napoleon." In small print at the bottom it says that the print is a lithograph done by a company in Pireaus.

Framed print with beautiful vibrant colors depicting a battle between the Greeks and the Bulgarians. The print shows that the Greek fores are driving against the Bulgarians and defeating them. The landscape of the print shows that thre are mountains in the background that are taken over by the Greeks. On the mountains/hills there are Greek flags and small figures of soliders. In the sky above them it looks like there are either fireworks going off or explosions. The sky is blue and where the fireworks/explosions are they are yellow, orange, and red surrounded by a cloud of white. The rest of the sky is an robin egg blue. The hills behind the main focus of the picture are filled with colors of greens, browns, yellows, oranges, blues, purple, and pink. This seems to add definition to the landscape. In what seems to be a valley there is a town where the Greek flag is flying. There are many buildings that are painted white and pink with red roofs. Around the town and across the mountain range behind the fighting there are many trees. The tres are a deep brown, gren, and black. The main part of the print shows the Greeks charging and beating the Bulgarians. The enitre bottom portion of the picture and the middle and right side show the defeated Bulgarian military. There are men being bayonetted by the Greeks, men that are fleeing, and men that are lying on the ground and on top of each other either dead or injured. On the far right side there is an explosion which is sending debris into the air. The explosion is orange, yellow, and white. There are some Bulgarians who seem to be surrendering while others seem to be fighting. The Bulgarian men around it are sheilding themselves from the impact. To show the defeat of the Bulgarians, the Bulgarian flag is on the ground being held by an incapacitated solider. The Bulgarians are wearing green uniforms with red and gold embelishments. The Greek army is on the left side of the picture and wraps around above the Bulgarian army to the other side of the picture. They are all either in firing lines shooting at the Bulgarians or chasing them. There are several Greek soliders on the far left who have their swords and bayonetts out and are attacking and killing the Bulgarian soliders. In between the two opposing armies there are rocks/bolders that are acting as a boundary between the two sides. There are severl Greeks standing on them taking shots down at the Bulgarians. The rocks are shades of gray, brown, black, purple, orange, yellow, pink, blue, and green. The ground is made up of the shades white, gray, brown, black, purple, orange, yellow, pink, blue, and green. The Greek military uniforms are brown with gold and red embelishments. At the bottom the title is in Greek and is "The First Victory of the Greeks and the Panic of the Bulgarians in Berovan 19 June 1913." The print was published in Athens.
