Origin
**For full family history, see donor file**

This blueprint was hand-stitched by Katherine (Hadzi Vasiliou) Emmanuel, the grandmother of donor Cleo C. Venetos. Katherine was preparing to make slippers for her husband, but never finished.

Katherine immigrated to the United States in August of 1920, through Ellis Island, NY, accompanied by her soon-to-be husband's cousin. Katherine married Andrew Emmanuel in their Pullman, IL home on September 26, 1920.
