Object Description
A plain piece of yellowing paper with a faded blue border. Within that there is a title of "Honorable Discharge," and under that a colored print of a flag with 48 stars. Under the flag the document has "As the flag is clean so keep your honorable discharge neat," printed on it. The document is torn where it has been folded.
Origin
Andrew Calas received an honorable discharge from the U.S. army in 1919 for an injury sustained in October of 1918. With his honorable discharge he recieved a 48 star American flag. This document came with his honorable discharge paper and flag.
