Object Description
This is a 2 Drachmai coin. It is round and has a reeded edge. It is made of copper-nickel. On one side there is the head of Paul I. Around the edge on this side is a Greek inscription saying "Paul King of Greece" and the year 1954. On the other side, there is a crowned shield with a figure holding a club on either side. The inscription around the edge on this side says "Kingdom of Greece" and "2 Drachmai", both inscriptions written in Greek.
Origin
The coins were donated by Pete Poulos from Missoula, Montana. These 2 Drachmai coins were minted between 1954-1965 during the reign of Paul I.
