Object Description
Order of the Gold Cross of Phoenix of Greece medal presented to John G. Thevos by Greek Consul General B.G. Vitsaxis in recognition of his services fostering Greek- American relations on behalf of King Paul of Greece. The medal is a white cross with a copper-colored phoenix in the middle. The medal is hung by a copper-colored crown which is hung off of a yellow and blue ribbon. The medal is slightly worn and sits on a black velvet back ground.
Origin
Donated by Aphrodite Thevos Tsairis. This is a part of John G. Theovs' collection of photos and records from his achievements. This medal was given to Jogn G. Thevos on account of his services fostering Greek-American relations on behalf of King Paul of Greece. Presented in 1962.
