Object Description
White crystal plaque. On the back is engraved "Hellenic Museum and Cultural Center A National Institution." Beneath the text is a motif of laurel leaves that frame the font. The crystal is scored on all edges.
Origin
Given as a token at the opening ceremonies of the National Hellenic Museum.
The original museum space, located above other spaces at 801 W Adams street two blocks away, was small and unsatisfactory for a museum. The new more sufficient museum location is at 333. S. Halsted St. Chicago IL 60661.
