Object Description
The poster is of the 31 Greek medalists from the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens, Greece. The colors of the poster are blue and white, to match the Greek flag. Divided into boxes based on sport category, each team member is shown in their Team Greece jacket, holding up their medals and wearing the traditional crown of laurel leaves on their heads.
Origin
The poster is of the 31 total medalists on Team Greece from the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. The gold medalists are as follows: Fani Chalkia for the Women's 400 m hurdles in Athletics, Athanasia Tsoumeleka from the Women's 20 km walk in Athletics, Thomas Bimis and Nikolaos Siranidis from Men's synchronized 3 m springboard in Diving, Dimosthenis Tampakos from Men's rings in Gymnastics, Ilias Iliadis from Men's 81 kg in Judo, Sofia Bekatorou and Emilia Tsoulfa from Women's 470 Class in Sailing. Silver medalists are as follows: Hrysopiyi Devetzi from Women's triple jump in Athletics, Anastasia Kelesidou from Women's discus throw in Athletics, Nikolaos Kaklamanakis from Men's sailboard in Sailing, Elisavet Mystakidou from Women's 67 kg in Taekwondo, Alexandros Nikolaidis from Men's +80 kg in Taekwondo, and the Greece women's national polo team, which includes: Dimitra Asilian, Georgia Ellinaki, Eftychia Karagianni, Angeliki Karapataki, Stavroula Kozompoli, Georgia Lara, Kyriako Liosi, Antiopi Melidoni, Antonia Moraiti, Evangelia Moraitidou, Anthoula Mylonaki, Aikaterini Oikonomopoulou, Antogoni Roumpesi. Bronze medalists are as follows: Mirela Manjani from Women's javelin throw in Athletics, Vasileios Polymeros and Nikolaos Skiathitis from Men's lightweight double sculls in Rowing, Pyrros Dimas from Men's 85 kg in Weightlifting, Artiom Kiouregkian from Men's Greco-Roman 55kg in Wrestling.
