Small medallion inscribed with "State Mother, American Mothers Inc." 
Origin
In 1962 Stella was awarded New York State Mother of the Year by American Mothers Inc the award was given to her by the Governor Nelson Rockefeller. That same year she was runner up for the National Mother of the Year to 1962 Mary Celesta Weatherly, Alabama and 1962 Clara Spoat Glen, World Mother, Ohio mother of John Glen Astronaut the first man to walk in space. In 1964 the US Senator Kenneth Keating honored her as the USA Greek American mother of the year when in 1964 she led the Greek Independence Day Parade. Donated by Peter Spanakos.
