Object Description
This is a needlepoint piece. The thread is mostly brown, tan and light blue, with intermittent metallic thread. There are two pots containing three flowers each with, what looks like, birds flying overhead. The piece is in a gold frame with a light blue interior border. There is a hanging wire attached to the back of the frame.
Origin
Brought to USA by Bethlehem Tchimenoglou in 1962 as a gift to Evelyn Chimins, who framed the textile. The textile was originally owned by parents of Bethlehem who owned a Jewelry store in Constantinople.
