Object Description
A cast bronze sculpture of three abstract bird figures. The statue is mounted on a gray marble base. The metal dedication plaque on the front of the sculpture reads: "Wings of Hope." Dedicated October 27, 2000, Demetrios Mavroudis, Sculptor Hellenic Heart Program Founded 1993.
Origin
Commissioned for the Hellenic Heart Program of Children's Memorial Hospital. The Hellenic Heart Program was founded by Dr. Constantine Mavroudis, a chief cardiac surgeon. The Hellenic Heart Program provides surgery for children with complex congenital heart disease that is unavailable in Greece or Europe.
