Male figure with black hair and pointed beard, long jointed neck, blue tunic with red and green detail at collar and cuff, brown pants, green and purple striped socks, red shoes, red fingernails, red hat with white trim, legs jointed at knees
Origin
Solomon/Jew-He barely speaks Greek and is from Saloniki. He is a smart, rich miser, only concerned with his money. Character description from Warmoes, V. Karaghiozi Shadow Theater. (http://spectrum.library.concordia.ca/3555/1/ML56049.pdf) Thianda Manzara (daughter) donated the puppets and accessories from the estate of Demetra Louvrie (1931-2001). Louvrie studied with her great-uncle John Katses (Halsted Street cafe performer),l George Kefalopoulos (radio host), and Frixos Gazepidis. Louvrie taught and presented shows of Karaghiozi puppeteering throughout Illinois.
