Karaghiozi-He is a quick-witted, poor scoundrel. He speaks from his life experience. His appearance is marked by a hunched back, balding, and one arm shorter than the other. He often has a watering can as a prop.

Thianda Manzara (daughter) donated the puppets and accessories from the estate of Demetra Louvrie (1931-2001). Louvrie studied with her great-uncle John Katses (Halsted Street cafe performer),l George Kefalopoulos (radio host), and Frixos Gazepidis. Louvrie taught and presented shows of Karaghiozi puppeteering throughout Illinois.
