Object Description
One cream colored stocking.

Tightly knit cream colored cotton. Wider at the top and becomes narrow at the bottom. At the bottom there is a small white cotton strap that connects one side to the other. On one side of the stocking, there is a faded yellow/brown staing that is in the middle. There is also a small amount of black hair/fuzz throughout the stocking.
Origin
The stocking was donated on behalf of Louis Vellos who brought the object from Greece in the early 1950s.

The stocking is part of a child's Foustanella. The Foustanella is the official uniform of the Evzones who are the Presidential Guards. The Foustanella is the official costum for men. The look includes a loose-fitting shirt, an embroidered vest, Fez hat, Tsarouxia (shoe), and fustanella which is a skirt-like garmet.
