Object Description
Slightly rectangular handbag woven in a multi-colored diamond pattern on a white background. Alternating blue and purple handle is looped through holes on either side of the bag. The handle is tied at one side and forms a kind of pom. There is a small amount of fraying along the interior of the bag. The diamonds are outlined in red or orange. The sides of the bag are sewn together in red. The colors of the diamonds are pink, yellow, green, blue, orange, and red.
Origin
Tagaris can be used as purses or for holding produce, such as olives. They can also be a part of a woman's dowry.
