Round aluminum cake mold (angel food cake) The inscription on the bottom reads "No. 6208 Aluminum Edw. Katzinger Co. Chicago-Baltimore, Made in U.S. America." The bottom of the pan is flat, and it has a thick rim around the outside. The metal part in the middle has three dents evenly spaced around its top.
This pan was used in Angelo's Bakery in Berwyn, IL.
Edward Katzinger Company was originally founded in 1888 and sold tin pans to bakeries. They then expanded to provide for candy stores and ice cream parlors, and later kitchen supplies.
