Object Description
A light blue cloth pouch with looped silver trim along the lip of the pouch flap. It has a single-button clasp with white cloth lining on the inside of the pouch. The bag appears to be homemade.
Origin
Donated by Julia Maurogianis. The pouch was used for the storage of the officer jewels for the Daughters of Penelope Harris Chapter #133. The Harris Chapter #133 was officially formed on July 15, 1945. Chapter #133 is no longer in existence. Daughters of Penelope is a national women's organization started in 1929. The organization promotes Hellenism, education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, and family and individual excellence.
