Object Description
White cloth with red cross stitch lettering "Good Day to All" in Greek. Letters "MA" cross stitched into the corner. The edges of the cloth are uneven.
Origin
Anna K. Keramianakis was born October 26, 1904 and died October 16, 1984. She lived in Spilia, Crete. Her father sold olives in the city of Chania. anna and her mother and sisters raised silkworms and sold their thread. Anna's aunts arranged an engagement for her. She married Kyriakos V. Petrakis on July 28, 1926. On august 15, 1926, they left Crete for Athens. On September 2, 1926 they left for America on board the "Avera". On October 5, 1926, they arrived at Ellis Island, New York.
