Object Description
Small female doll wearing Greek costume of a mauve skirt embellished with multicolored ribbon and lace trimmings. She also has an orange underskirt. She has two long braids and a small red cap, as well as black shoes and white stockings. Her body is made of plastic and polyester but her face has been covered in fabric and her facial features have been painted accordingly.
Origin
The doll's costume doesn't represent a specific ethnic region in Greece per say but it does does capture the general essence of Greek costume--as is the purpose of a tourist object. It looks like her face has been hand-painted.
