Object Description
A small female doll wearing a Greek costume of a mauve skirt embellished with multicolored ribbon, lace trimmings, an orange underskirt, and black shoes with white stockings. The doll has two long brunette braids and is wearing a small red cap on the head. The body is made of plastic and polyester but her face has been covered in fabric and her facial features have been painted accordingly.
Origin
The doll's costume doesn't represent a specific ethnic region in Greece per se but it does capture the general essence of Greek costume--as is the purpose of a tourist object. It looks like her face has been hand-painted.
