Object Description
Square linen embroidered, lace edged table cloth. All white in color. In each corner there is a multicolor (blue, green, pink, light purple, and light blue) abstract design. The edging is crochet pieces made to look like lace. They are twelve pointed sun/star shaped designs that cover the entire border.
Origin
Created by Penolope Neokos. She was born in Greece in 1899. In later years she came to the United States with her husband Nickolas, also native to Greece, where they became citizens of Illinois and lived in the city of Chicago. While in Chicago her and her husband lived with her brother along with her two sons (Ernie and John) and their one daughter (Frances).

It is a handmade piece, but the location of where it was created is unknown. This could have been made in Greece and used in a dowry or could have been created later in life after moving to Chicago.
