Object Description
Small square doily. Crocheted. White and beige. The doily, while mostly white, has beige threading that creates a lined and uneven circle around the center. There is a loop on one corner so that the doily could possibly hung. On one of the edges, there is a loose thread that appears like it could unravel the doily if tugged.
Origin
This crocheted doily was handmade in Myteline, Greece by Anastasia "Mina" Tiftiksis. It is unknown how or when the doily was acquired by the donor.
Doilies are mostly used as accessories for home decor. They can decorate tables, trays, or even be framed and hung. This doily, while small in size, could have even been used as a coaster.
