Crocheted placemat. Beige. It has an oval shape meaning that the top and bottom sides are straight while the side edges are rounded. Hand made. The crochet pattern appears to look like a series of stars with different stitching around the border. On either side, there are various brown stains.
This table mat was created in Myteline, Greece by Mina Tiftinksis. It can be used for a table setting when dining. It is unknown how or when the textile made its way to the US, nor is it known how the donor acquired it from Mina Tiftinksis.
