Object Description
Square decorative pillow cover. Multicolored floral design on beige background. Embroidery wool. The design consists of an orange, red, and pink flower in the middle with many small green lines coming off of it. This flower is surrounded by brown dots, which is then surrounded by a green vine, which has many different flowers on it. These flowers are mostly brown iwth pink centers and dark brown dots, blue with yellow lines coming off of them, pink with dark brown int the middle, a lighter pink with brown in the center and dark brown dots, and brown and pink striped flowers. At the bottom, there is a blue flower with dark brown coming out of it, and yellow at the base of the big central flower. In the corners of the embroidery, there are yellow flowers with grene stems. The edges of the pillowcase have red and pink flowers with green stems. It also has a green border. The back has a white tag with greek writing. It also reads "National Welfare Organization Athens" and "Hand Made in Greece"
Origin
The National Welfare Organization in Athens is a shop in which one can buy handmade or hand embroidered fabrics, rugs, or bags from villages all over Greece.
